Two year bachelors degree course aimed at training students to become teachers.
Bachelor of Education or simply B.Ed. is a 2-year bachelors degree course aimed at training students to become teachers. In order to be eligible to pursue this course, a student must have at least a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
Course fee in first year INR 50,000 p.a. and Second year is INR 30,000
The course curriculum includes both core courses and pedagogy courses. This degree is necessary for anyone to become a teacher in a primary or secondary school. B.Ed. Syllabus is formulated by NCERT and monitored by NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education).
Graduation in any relevant field from a recognized college. A minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying exam. Some universities ask for a minimum of 55% marks if the student has done postgraduation.
